Battle Strategy I

Shoutout to Ariella Newheart and my Unknown friend who have gotten me writing again!  ðŸ˜‚

I'll be bringing together a series of battle tips to help you in your struggles against Lucky's automatons. Starting with the first one:

COMBINATIONS

Weapon combinations are very important to the success of a battle. The better combinations you have, the quicker and easier you will be able to dispatch automatons. There are a few basic combinations you can apply:
  • Fire + Oil
  • Electricity + Water
  • Ice + Water
Starting with those, you are on the road to great damage.
My favorite solo combination is to use the Oil Spitter (Ep. 2) on the first turn of battle, followed by a special on my Rocket Hammer (Ep. 2).  That's a whopping 130 damage in one turn! You can take out a Bombardier in one hit, and the infamous Mega Drill in just four total turns!

My old forums friend, Bear Orangevest, wrote up an amazing chart on weapons and their combinations. Check it out here, it has all the information you'll ever need.*

*I'd like to note that the information in the chart is slightly old; due to a more-recent update, the Rocket Hammer does 130 damage for each special + oil. The chart also predates Episode Three's weapons.

Weapon combinations are an amazing and powerful feature, don't forget them when you go out to battle! It's always strategically smart to maintain a wide range of weapons for all types of automatons; however, it's also smart to have at least one combination available to you.

Here's what I keep in my inventory:
Ice pistols (Ep. 3), Water Rifle (Ep. 1), Oil Spitter (Ep. 2), Rocket Hammer (Ep. 2), Fire Stick (Ep. 3)

Comment below and tell me your favorite combinations! 😄
See you around Aethasia,

  1. Great article, Hanna!

I usually have the water rifle, riveter pistols (they decrease an automaton's attack by 25%, I believe), ice hammer, dulcet defensive vambrace, and fire stick (though I sometimes use the icicle paired with the water pistols; together they do more damage than you would think!). When I go to the Isle, I use the gyroscopic hammer paired with the flintlock sniper.
