Battle Strategy I

Shoutout to Ariella Newheart and my Unknown friend who have gotten me writing again!  ðŸ˜‚

I'll be bringing together a series of battle tips to help you in your struggles against Lucky's automatons. Starting with the first one:

COMBINATIONS

Weapon combinations are very important to the success of a battle. The better combinations you have, the quicker and easier you will be able to dispatch automatons. There are a few basic combinations you can apply:
  • Fire + Oil
  • Electricity + Water
  • Ice + Water
Starting with those, you are on the road to great damage.
My favorite solo combination is to use the Oil Spitter (Ep. 2) on the first turn of battle, followed by a special on my Rocket Hammer (Ep. 2).  That's a whopping 130 damage in one turn! You can take out a Bombardier in one hit, and the infamous Mega Drill in just four total turns!

My old forums friend, Bear Orangevest, wrote up an amazing chart on weapons and their combinations. Check it out here, it has all the information you'll ever need.*

*I'd like to note that the information in the chart is slightly old; due to a more-recent update, the Rocket Hammer does 130 damage for each special + oil. The chart also predates Episode Three's weapons.

Weapon combinations are an amazing and powerful feature, don't forget them when you go out to battle! It's always strategically smart to maintain a wide range of weapons for all types of automatons; however, it's also smart to have at least one combination available to you.

Here's what I keep in my inventory:
Ice pistols (Ep. 3), Water Rifle (Ep. 1), Oil Spitter (Ep. 2), Rocket Hammer (Ep. 2), Fire Stick (Ep. 3)

Comment below and tell me your favorite combinations! 😄
See you around Aethasia,

Journal Entry 1.3: Snowmoorian Travel Techniques

Hellooooooo Aethasians!

I will now be giving some advice on the Snowmoors. (The Snowmoors and all of its inhabitants are unlocked in Episode 3. You can see my review here.)

Commencing journal entry:

I was lost, alone. Running through barren wastes of nothing but impure, fog tainted snow, I struggled onward. Every once in a while I would run past a tree, with its curious purple leaves laying withered on the ground. Rings of fog encircled hills in the landscape like a topography map. Was there to be no end?!

The above entry could have been written by most people new to the Snowmoors. Eventually, you get the hang of navigating those huge areas. Here are some tips that I found essential:

  1. Run around the perimeter of the expanse. This will help you get a feel for the definite locations of things when you find them.
  2. Use your directions: north, south, east, and west. In the Aetherlight world, those become "up," "down," "right," and "left," in that order. You can always use directions and landmarks to help find something you've previously located. For instance: Start at the entrance to Jefferson's camp from the _____ Slurries. Go south until you reach the rock, then turn west and slightly south to reach the research station.
  3. If you're in dire straits and need to find something as quickly as possible, case the area. start as far north and west as you can go, then travel east and a TINY bit south. When you reach the wall on that side, turn around and go west and a TINY bit south. Skirt all obstacles, but after, turn back to the original path as if you had gone straight through the obstacle. This method will ENSURE that you don't miss anything.
  4. By now, the Postman has given you handy-dandy aerial shots of the North and South Slurries, and eventually, the Grease Pit too! You can get to them in the Postman's journal.
  5. If all else fails, you can always ask me or another kind Aethasian to help. :)
I sincerely hope this helps you in your expeditions!
Your friend and author,

Journal Entry 1.2

May 18, 2017, 6:29 p.m. . . .
Sadly, VERY sadly, it turns out the whole thing about Lukas's cat being in Evergreen Meadows was a HOAX! Thanks a lot, Aetherlight developers. >:(
However, there are still plenty of secrets to discover. I had to take a plunge, and then a hike, to find it. It's well worth finding, let me tell you. Also, TWO of the Aetherlight staff mentioned a SECOND secret area. WHERE IS IT?!? :/

The rather large release of Evergreen Meadows, outfits, a new cane weapon, new characters, and certain new capabilities outfits have has overall been a success. For some people, Evergreen Meadows has become their favorite place. I encourage all of you to visit as soon as you can. You will need to have space to accept a quest though. Inside the resistance HQ, on the job-board located there, you can pick up a quest from Alexander that unbars the gate to the E.G.M.

I need YOUR help!

That's right! I -- and a couple other players -- seem to be encountering a rather unusual glitch. Here's how to help me out:
1 Unfortunately, you need to have Episode 3 to check this! Sorry everyone!
2 Please check your inventory. If you have a Saber Tooth mask, please please please comment below.
3 If you DO NOT have the Saber Tooth mask, please go to the North Slurries and look for it. (It's in a clothing suitcase.)
Here is where two people have reported finding it:
Just follow the mine cart tracks until you see this location. The rock I am looking at SHOULD BE where the suitcase is.

I really need your help! If you find the suitcase for the first time, please take a screenshot and post it in the comments. Thank you!

Journal 1.1 ~ ....will haunt your dreams.....

Hey everyone, Hanna Brassheart, your favorite blogger/community moderator is BACK! Yep! After an amazing vacation I'm ready to start blogging again! And here's journal 1.1:

Journal,
A few days ago my friend Feather Rabbledash was dreamweaving around Aethasia when she suddenly found...
DUN DUN DUNNNNN!!!!
A golden cubeish-coggish-Aetherish thing! Upon further investigation (right-clicking or long clicking) it was determined that this golden cubeish-coggish-Aetherish thing was actually a DREAM CUBE, with the unnerving description of "The puzzle cube that will haunt your dreams until you solve it..."
DUN DUN DUNNNNN!!!!
What is this mysterious Dream Cube, where do you find it, and what does it do?

1. What is it? It is just an item. Unfortunately you can't solve it. 😉

2. Where do you find it?
The Dream Cube can be found all over Aethasia. It is not common, though, but if you look hard enough, you will find one. A location hint to start you off is:

Remember: These Dream Cubes are Aether-weaved, meaning you have to use your Dream Weaver (exclusive Great Engineer tech gained about half-way through Episode 3) to reveal it.

3. What does it do?
It is used in crafting recipes, and it will probably be used in future quests.

Hope this helps, friends!
Have fun!
Hanna
